Pellehaut Harmonie de Gascogne Rouge 2019
A young, light and fruity red wine that adapts to any kitchen. The color of a bright cherry, this wine offers a fragrant bouquet of blackcurrant and blackberry raised by some notes "pepper and cocoa" to boost the whole. A full and supple mouth accompanies these fruits throughout the tasting.
Vineyard
Located on the hillsides of Château de Pellehaut, more than 180 m above sea level , the vineyard benefits from an ideal terroir and maximum sunshine. Frequently protected by the effect of Foenh (Pyrenees barrier) the Gers benefits from more than a relatively low summer rainfall.
"Pellehaut" takes its name from the Roman or medieval pila. The presence of mosaics representing the vineyard, two kilometers away, on the site of the Gallo Roman villa of Seviac, suggests that the vineyard was already present in Pellehaut at the time of the Romans ...
The estate now covers 550 hectares including 250 hectares of vines . . It is a farm managed in a traditional way by two brothers Martin and Mathieu Beraut .
