The historic vineyards include La Valle, Roccolo, Bredina, and Tesa. They enjoy a unique and extraordinary micro-climate and they produce high-quality grapes, rich in scent and taste, from noble vines of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero.
Winemaking
La Valle Rosé is an elegant blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir). The two varieties are vinified separately with brief maceration on the skins to provide an elegant pink colour. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle via the traditional method making Franciacorta Italy’s answer to Champagne.
Food Matches
Franciacorta is ideal as an aperitif and is a great companion to shellfish and baked fish dishes.
