Background
Domaine Martelet de Cherisey is a family owned vineyard located in Blagny in the South of the Cote de Beaune in Burgundy. The yield is low and of highly concentrated grapes with a soil mainly composed of clay and limestone. The Domaine practices sustainable viticulture in respect of the soil and the vineyard; this sustainability follows through to the wine-making and cellaring processes. The wines produced are wonderfully balanced with perfect acidity and outstanding minerality.
